Meet The Team at Campbelltown Veterinary Hospital

At Campbelltown Veterinary Hospital, we know that great veterinary care starts with a great team.

Our friendly and approachable staff are passionate about animals and dedicated to providing exceptional care for every pet and their owner.

With decades of combined experience and a genuine love for what we do, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming environment where pets feel comfortable and owners feel supported.

Take a moment to meet the people behind Campbelltown Veterinary Hospital and their furry (or sometimes feathered) companions!

Our Veterinarian

Dr Gary Ashton B.V.Sc., Dip. Appl. Sc.

Principal Veterinarian

Born and raised on a dairy farm in Dayboro, Queensland, Gary’s passion for animals began early watching platypus in nearby creeks and helping out on local farms. His love for agriculture and animal health led him to study veterinary science at the University of Queensland, graduating in 1979.

Gary has worked across Victoria, South Australia, and finally Campbelltown where he has been the proud owner of Campbelltown Veterinary Hospital since 1983. He enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery but has a particular passion for large animal and farm work, understanding both the medical and practical needs of farmers.

Gary’s philosophy is simple: veterinary care should be thorough, honest, and supportive for both animals and their owners.

At home, Gary is kept busy by his two much-loved dogs Spider the Kelpie/Border Collie and Cricket the Miniature Dachshund.
